For sale, a working Sun Blade 1000 Unix workstation [with 1 internal 18GB Fibre Channel hard drive] and a working Sun external SCSI storage enclosure with 5 hard drives, each 18GB. The computer has one CPU, upgradable to two CPUs. IIRC the current CPU`s speed is 750MHz. It has 2GB [2048MB] of RAM, a DVD reader, a CD burner/writer, a SmartCard reader, built-in Ethernet, USB, and FireWire, and two Sun video cards. I have been using it for a while, and it has been working fine except for a glitch which is obviously caused by the software, not the hardware [difficulty installing Sun updates]. I will do a fresh installation of Solaris 10 on the internal hard drive if and when this lot sells [unless the buyer requests a blank internal hard drive], so the buyer will get to choose which updates to do and which to leave out. A working Sun USB keyboard and a working non-Sun USB scroll-wheel mouse are included, as is a Sun-to-VGA video adapter. This computer looks really cool when it`s on in the dark; check out the photo of the lights! The necessary SCSI cable and terminator to hook up the storage unit will be included [both are Sun-branded, IIRC], as is the lid to the storage unit, even though it`s not obvious in the photos. A Sun 20-inch CRT-based monitor is optionally included. If you win this auction, you may have it or not, at your discretion. PayPal only.
