The ACCULINK 3150 DSU/CSU acts as an interface between the T1 digital network and the customer premises equipment, converting signals received from the DTE (Data Terminal Equipment) to bipolar signals that can be transmitted over T1 lines. Typical applications include shared access to network-based services, Local Area Network (LAN)/Wide Area Network (WAN) interconnection, and fractional T1 network applications. Flexible and economical, the ACCULINK 3150 connect to T1 and FT1 network services from fractional Nx56/64Kbps speeds up to 1.544Mbps. They deliver affordable access to the high-bandwidth requirements of LAN internetworking, video conferencing, CAD/CAM, and image applications. The ACCULINK 3160 access public network services and private backbone networks. These units support Facility Data Link (FDL) and Embedded Data Link (EDL) for Non-Disruptive In-band SNMP management of T1 and FT1 circuits and can also provide SNMP management over frame relay with a connection from the 3150 COM or AUX port to a remote router port or external LAN adapter. For high-speed access coupled with flexibility and control, the ACCULINK 3150 can be configured for point-to-point or point-to-multipoint, using Fractional T1 topologies. They also provide any-DS0-to-any-port (synchronous or DSX-1) configuration flexibility; a menu-driven, front panel LCD control for simplified setup, diagnostics and management; and an integral V.22bis modem for remote operation. The software-downloadable architecture of the two-port ACCULINK 3150 allows fast and easy updates and enhancements to functionality. The standard DSX-1 drop and insert port allows you to integrate your voice and data networks, saving money while improving data application performance.
